Voice Products

Hosted VoIP / Hosted IP PBX - Is a service which provides many advanced features and functions of a PBX from a platform hosted in a remote data center. It is a great option for customers who do not want to pay for up-front cost of purchasing a premise-based PBX system and they like the ease and flexibility of adding and moving new phones.

Local Dial Tone - This is the standard local telephone line that businesses use. It is also called POTS (Plain Old Telephony Services) lines.

Long Distance - This is the service between Local Access Transport Areas (LATAs).

International Long Distance - Long distance calls from the United States to other countries.

Toll Free - Inbound long distance service that is paid by the recipient.

DSL - High speed Internet access over regular telephone lines.

T1 Line - Provides for 24 digitized voice channels or it can be configured as a dedicated pipe for Internet access with 1.5mbps data capacity. T1 line does not allow passing of user name but it provides DID services so it gives each user his/her own personal number.

PRI - Primary Rate Interface, is a special T1 with 23 voice channels and a single data channel that allows for passing user name and number. It also provides for DIDs giving each user his/her unique number. It is used to connect premise based PBXs to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

Integrated T1 - Is a T1 line in which some channels are configured for voice and some for data traffic. A dynamic T1 allows the traffic to be allocated in real time. When voice service is not in use the available channels are used for data traffic.

SIP Trunk - Is a logical connection for carrying the VoIP traffic between a PBX and a provider network. Since it is not a physical connection it is sold based on its capacity for handling the desired number of calls vs number of channels. It is a cost-effective option for PRI line.
